How we work / 1.00 + NDA

Relevance / Obsolescence Notes

A market in the date on which a role stops being performed by a person. Both sides of the trade are available.

01

Personal Obsolescence Cover

Monthly cover against your role being automated. Premium is a function of your sector, your seniority and the deployment pipeline of the vendors serving your employer, to which we have commercial visibility and you do not.

02

Employer Position

The counterparty side. An organisation holding a deployment schedule may take the opposing position on roles within its own workforce. Nothing prohibits this, and the pricing reflects the information.

03

Sector Index / OBS-100

Aggregate exposure across the hundred most automatable occupations. Rebalanced quarterly. Since inception the index has moved in one direction.

04

Residual Skill Note

A position on the remaining commercial life of a competence. Priced against the pace of substitution rather than the quality of the work, which is not an input.

05

Retraining Rider

Optional add-on funding a course of our selection. The course is offered by a provider in the group. Completion is not a condition of payout and payout is not a condition of completion.

06

Deployment Volatility

Written on the timing of an announcement rather than its content. Purchasers are typically parties in a position to schedule the announcement.

The arithmetic, disclosed. On a salary of ninety thousand and a premium of two thousand five hundred and twenty a month, an eighteen-month cover costs forty-five thousand three hundred and sixty and pays forty-five thousand. The policyholder is therefore purchasing a loss of three hundred and sixty in exchange for certainty of timing, which they do not have, and which the counterparty does. The counterparty's opposing position returns twenty-seven thousand two hundred and sixteen, reducing its cost of the transition by the same amount. The transition is, in this way, part-funded by the person being transitioned.

Presence / Oblivion Subscription

Continuous suppression of your records across participating registries, brokers and inference systems. Monthly, cancellable, restorative.

01

Suppression Tier

Your records are withheld from participating systems for as long as the subscription is current. Suppression is an ongoing service rather than a one-time deletion, because deletion is not available.

02

Reappearance Interval

On lapse, records return to circulation within thirty days as upstream sources re-propagate. No action is required from us. This is disclosed and is the basis of retention.

03

Inference Shielding

Where a record cannot be suppressed, the inference drawn from it can be contested. We contest it monthly, which is also the billing period.

04

Legacy Continuation

Suppression continues after death provided the subscription does. Estates may pre-fund. Lapse restores the deceased to circulation.

05

Selective Visibility

Visibility to chosen counterparties may be restored individually, at a per-counterparty rate. The default is absence; presence is the premium product.

06

Verification of Absence

Confirmation that you are not currently visible is issued monthly. The confirmation is itself a record and is retained by us.

Unit economics. Thirty-nine a month, marginal cost of continued suppression approximately nil, lifetime value across forty years eighteen thousand seven hundred and twenty. The product cannot be completed, only maintained. Every other subscription in this holding sells you something. This one sells you the continued absence of something, which never runs out.
